Hello and welcome to week 10 of marathon training (we're finally in double digits!!!). In this video, we're comparing the plethora of filming options we've tried so far...we'll let you know what we're going with on race day. You'll also see some highlights from this weekend's 11 miles (spoilers: nature and encouragement from strangers).
It's week 9 already! We can't believe we're already this far into training for our first marathon. Since this was a short run week (4 miles), we're focusing on non-run aspects of our week. We found rando motivation to get us through this training week, and we hope our tidbits can help you along with yours.
It's (already!!!) week 8 of our RunDisney Marathon training, and this week we tackled NINE miles on our long run. It's still hot as blazes, but we're hoping the summer breaks soon. In addition to running 9 long miles, we also celebrated our anniversary! Awesome weekend, all around.
It’s the third video covering our recent road trip through the American Midwest! On today’s leg, we technically drove little, but we did and saw a lot, driving from Omaha to Sidney, Iowa, and back into Nebraska, landing in Lincoln for the night.
It was another weird week in our household, but we still managed to hit our training run at the end of it. We don’t have a whole lot of footage to share from our this week’s 4 mile run (more on that later...), but we do have some tips we’ve picked up to help our training go a bit smoother. Hopefully you’ll find something that helps you, whether your training for your first marathon like we are, or if you’re just trying to figure this running thing out.
Road trip time, Part 2!
We drove through Oklahoma! We drove through Kansas! We drove through Nebraska! Day 2 of our Midwest road trip took us from Tulsa to Omaha. Another short visit to our destination, but we made the most of it.
Holy moly, it’s hot, y’all. This week we were humbly, yet forcefully, reminded that it’s summer. In Texas. And that running more than a couple of miles requires waking up very early...and that you’ll still get very, very sweaty. Week 6 of WDW Marathon training in the books; 7 miles down, 19 to go.

Road trip time! Today we’re covering the first leg of our recent road trip to the Midwest! First stop - Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was a quick visit, but an excellent one.

It’s tiki time! As we’ve mentioned, we like to make fancy cocktails at home. Today we’ll walk you through our method for two of our favorite tiki drinks - a Mai Tai (rum, triple sec, orgeat, and lime) and a Three Dots and a Dash (rum, triple sec, velvet falernum, allspice dram, simple syrup, and lime). We’ll also share a trick for pulling off a flaming garnish!
